In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone played inmate "Lorna Morello" in Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA degree. Yael despite her youthful years, has had the chance to study with Australia's most renowned storytellers. Yael's professional career is thriving in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was delighted to find her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, which was the venue where the production premiered to high praise, was the place she now calls New York City. Yael is co-founder of The Cannery. In the Bushwick Brooklyn studio, they support new creative writings and encourage innovative thinking.
